The center of Khalsa whose responsibility it is to persevere and share the spiritual wisdom of Gurmat is Anandpur Sahib. Amritsar along with the so called Golden Tempel (Darbar Sahib/Harmandar Sahib) is the center of rituals and those who misuse religion for business and political purposes (Mine) until today. The envisaged reorientation towards Anandpur Sahib is a step into the right direction.
